Game of Thrones Concert Live at Amalie Arena

We are huge Game of Thrones fans!

Game of Thrones is one of our favorite television shows (thanks HBO) and we can’t wait for the new season to start on July 16, 2017.

When we were dating, my husband loaned me the HUGE books and even though I had never read any fantasy, I plunged into hundreds and hundreds of pages of George R.R. Martin’s world so that we could discuss it like huge nerds.

All that being said, months ago I saw an ad on Facebook for the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience Tour and I impulsively purchased some very close seats.

Well, last night was the show in Tampa at Amalie Arena and it was awesome!  HBO and Live Nation have really created something special for the fans.

The conductor is musician and composer Ramin Djawadi who is the creator of the recognizable GOT opening theme.

The special effects were breathtakingly amazing!

The music sounds incredible with the live orchestra and chorus!

It was a great visual trip down memory lane of some of the shows most moving and exceptional scenes like:  the surprise assassination of Ned Stark, the Red Wedding, Hodor’s back story, the epic Battle of the Bastards, Cersei’s Wildfire revenge, and of course, the White Walkers!

Finally, if you are a Game of Thrones fan, I cannot recommend this show enough!  It’s a great experience and might serve to hold you over just a little until the end of the Summer when Season 7 premieres.

You can purchase tickets for the remaining Game of Thrones Concert Live tour dates here!

I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments if you have seen the concert, plan to see the concert, or just enjoyed my post about the concert!  🙂

Laura
